Bobbin - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Insula Technology Inc. ("we", "us") handles your information when you use Bobbin.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following:
1. Email Address
Used to create your Bobbin account.
2. Threads Data (via OAuth)
When you connect your Threads account, we receive:
- Your Threads profile information
- Your public Threads posts
- Related analytics data made available through Meta's official Threads API
We do not access or store anything outside of what Meta legally provides.
3. Preference Data
Information you provide during onboarding (such as your posting goals or content preferences) is used to personalize the app.
4. Usage and Analytics Data
Anonymous events or aggregated analytics that help us understand how users interact with Bobbin.
2. How Your Information Is Used
We use your information to:
- Display analytics about your Threads activity
- Power habit-building and gamification features
- Allow account creation and login
- Provide customer support
- Improve app performance and upcoming features
- Manage subscriptions through RevenueCat
- Securely operate backend systems
We do not sell your data.
3. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored securely using industry standard encryption and access control.
We store data in Supabase, which provides secure databases and storage infrastructure.
Your Threads data is only stored while your Threads account is connected. If you disconnect, all associated Threads data is automatically erased from our backend.
4. Third Party Services
We use:
- Supabase for secure data storage
- Clerk for authentication
- Vercel for infrastructure
- RevenueCat for subscription management
- Meta's Threads API to fetch your publicly available data
These services may process data on our behalf according to their own policies.
5. Children's Privacy
Bobbin is available to users aged 9 and up.
We do not knowingly collect more information than necessary, nor do we knowingly allow children to connect accounts without proper OAuth consent required by Meta.
6. Data Deletion and Account Removal
You can delete your account at any time. When you do:
- Your email and profile in our system are deleted
- All Threads data retrieved through the API is removed
- Preference data and analytics tied to your account are deleted
Disconnecting your Threads account also triggers automatic removal of all Threads data from our backend.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to:
- Access data we store about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion
- Withdraw consent
- Request a copy of your data

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Changes take effect once posted. Using the app after an update means you agree to the new policy.
